Ryan Martin is a London-born, Netherlands-based composer, arranger, conductor, music supervisor and drummer with over two decades of experience in the global music industry. Known for his versatility across film, television, live productions and recording projects, Ryan has built an international career spanning Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.

Early Training

Ryan’s musical journey began at the prestigious BRIT School of Performing Arts in London. Studying alongside artists such as Adele, Leona Lewis, Katie Melua, Luke Pritchard (The Kooks), and Keli-Leigh, and under the mentorship of former Pink Floyd arranger David Beer, he developed the creative foundation that would shape his multifaceted career.

Film & Television

Ryan’s original compositions have featured across a broad range of award-winning and international productions. His credits include the short film High Pitched, children’s series Jim Jam & Sunny and The Tweenies (CBBC), and documentaries such as Tradition Well Served (Peninsular Hotel) and The Great Mafia Orange Squeeze.

His music has appeared on major global entertainment platforms including Holland’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent, and America’s Got Talent, as well as on The Ellen Show, Michael McIntyre’s The Big Show, and Penn & Teller: Fool Us. During 2024 Ryan collaborated with Oneness Entertainment to score the music for the launch campaign of elite watch maker, Girard Perregaux' s relaunch of the Casquette Watch from 1970.

Live Productions & Major Events

Ryan is widely recognised for his work as a Composer, Producer, Arranger, Conductor, and Music Supervisor for large-scale live productions and international events. His credits include:

For Riyadh Fashion Week 2025, Ryan delivered 30 original runway scores, each built entirely by hand to reflect the unique vision of every designer across 15-minute presentations. Notably, he composed the music for Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney’s debut Middle Eastern runway shows—an historic moment uniting Eastern and Western fashion on a global stage.

He has collaborated internationally with magician Darcy Oake and contributed to prestigious ceremonies including the Amma Awards, ECP Awards (2022 & 2023), and the Top Women of the Year Awards.

His theatre credits include the original production of Home the Musical written by American composer Scott Alan, where he wrote and worked closely with Cynthia Erivo and Idina Menzel. During the summer of 2014 Ryan worked along side David Baddiel and Eran Baron Cohen on the adaptation of the movie "The Infidel" to the stage.  German production of Das Phantom der Oper, The Little Prince, and the Andrew Lloyd Webber Gala for 3for1 Trinity Concerts, serving as arranger, conductor, and music supervisor. In 2024, Ryan is producing the cast album for The Little Prince and arranging a new production for 3for1.

Recording & Album Work

Ryan has composed and produced albums for artists including Summer Davis (To Be Continued), Adam Bayjou (For You), The Songsmiths (Songsmiths), VOXX (Rise), Deborah Sasson (Back to the Roots), and Das Phantom der Oper.

His own original projects include Legends – Episodes I & II, Evolutions, Heroic Anthems, A Breath of Life, Awakening, and his eighth release, Riyadh Fashion Week (2024).

Ryan is co-published by Reel Musik Werks (Nashville / Los Angeles / Mumbai) with Teri Carpenter.

Drumming Career

Alongside his work as a composer, Ryan has established himself as a highly accomplished studio and live drummer, performing across West End, Broadway-calibre productions, and major recording sessions. In 2014 He was named in a poll of the Top 10 drummers in the Industry along side, Neil Wilkinson, Ralph Salmins, Phil Colins (Genesis & Solo) and Rodger Taylor (Queen).

His live performance credits in theatre  include:

A sought-after session drummer, Ryan has recorded at Abbey Road and Metropolis Studios, contributing to projects for artists including Will Young, Sugababes, Girls Aloud, Taio Cruz, and Pixie Lott, Scott Alan and more. His stylistic adaptability allows him to move seamlessly between pop, orchestral, theatre, and cinematic genres.

With a career spanning composition, live production, orchestration, and elite-level drumming, Ryan Martin continues to shape the contemporary music landscape through innovation, scale, and musical precision.
